Intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide for idiopathic cytoid macular edema

Purpoe To report intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide for idiopathic cytoid macular edema (ICME). Deign Interventional cae erie. Method Two patient with ICME were treated with intravitreal triamcinolone. Reult In one patient, bet-corrected acuity wa 20/70 before treatment and 20/30 6 month pottreatment in both eye. Foveal thickne wa 606 μm before and 197 μm pottreatment in the right eye and 542 μm before and 190 μm pottreatment in the left eye. In another patient, bet-corrected acuity wa 20/200 before treatment and 20/50 5 month pottreatment; foveal thickne wa 580 μm before and 208 μm pottreatment. Recurrence of macular edema reponded to repeat intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide in both patient. Concluion Intravitreal triamcinolone may be aociated with reduced edema and improved viion in patient with ICME; however, thee change may be tranient.
