Abstract :
Purpoe
To report the effect of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection for ubfoveal and juxtafoveal choroidal neovacularization (CNV) in ocular hitoplamoi yndrome.
Method
In a retropective analyi, the proportion of eye that gained ≥5 or lot ≥5 and ≥15 Early Treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy tudy (ETDR) letter, bet-corrected viual acuity uing ETDR letter core (VA), greatet linear dimenion (GLD), and treatment ide effect were aeed.
Reult
Ten patient (five ubfoveal, five juxtafoveal CNV; median follow-up: 17 month; range, 6–41 month) were evaluated. Thirty percent gained ≥5 letter, 20% lot 5 to 14 letter, and 50% maintained table VA. Overall, mean VA and GLD remained table. ide effect were tranient intraocular preure elevation and mild cataract development.
Concluion
Intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide for CNV reulting from OH wa found to be relatively afe and howed good viual outcome for both ubfoveal and juxtafoveal CNV. Further tudie are warranted to evaluate thi treatment.
