Uveal melanoma preenting a acute angle-cloure glaucoma: report of two cae

Purpoe To preent two cae of uveal melanoma preenting a acute angle-cloure glaucoma. Deign Obervational cae report. Method Aement and management of two patient with uveal melanoma preenting with acute angle-cloure glaucoma. Reult One patient wa initially treated with antiglaucoma medication, and a laer peripheral iridotomy wa performed. The econd patient had opaque media preventing viualization of the poterior egment, but the preence of an occult ma wa upected a the caue of angle cloure. In both cae, B-can ultraonography revealed the preence of a tumor cauing angle-cloure glaucoma. The eye were enucleated, and the diagnoi of uveal malignant melanoma wa confirmed by hitopathology. Concluion Although acute angle-cloure a the initial preentation of uveal melanoma i rare, the preence of a uveal melanoma hould be upected in eye unreponive to medical therapy, epecially in unilateral cae in which the view of the poterior egment i obcured.
