Abstract :
Purpoe
To report the detection of intraretinal ilicone oil vacuole after the ue of a ilicone oil tamponade for macular hole urgery with internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
A 57-year-old woman with a recurrent macular hole in the left eye underwent macular hole urgery with ILM peeling and ilicone oil tamponade. After early ilicone oil emulification wa detected, the ilicone oil wa removed.
Reult
Follow-up ophthalmocopic examination and optical coherence tomography imaging revealed intraretinal ilicone oil vacuole in the area of ILM peeling.
Concluion
Internal limiting membrane defect may facilitate the entry of ilicone oil into the retina, leading to accumulation of oil vacuole. The ue of ilicone oil in macular hole urgery with ILM peeling may complicate the potoperative outcome.
