Purpoe To report a rare complication, delayed uprachoroidal hemorrhage, of needle reviion of a nonfunctioning trabeculectomy bleb in a patient with previouly undetected hairy cell leukemia. Deign Interventional cae report. Method An 89-year-old man preented with maive delayed uprachoroidal hemorrhage after needle reviion of a trabeculectomy bleb. Reult Routine invetigation before choriodal drainage howed a low platelet count. Anterior chamber wahout and choroidal drainage were done after intravenou platelet infuion. ubequently, the diagnoi of hairy cell leukemia wa made by the hematologit. Concluion Delayed uprachoroidal hemorrhage i a rare but devatating complication of needle reviion of trabeculectomy bleb and hould be borne in mind while performing thi eemingly trivial outpatient procedure.
