Reuturing the cleral flap through conjunctiva for treatment of exce filtration

Purpoe To elevate the intraocular preure (IOP) in eye with peritent hypotony caued by exce filtration after trabeculectomy. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method The cleral flap wa utured directly through the conjunctival flap uing a round, tapered needle with a 10-0 nylon uture. Thi procedure ha been performed in 10 eye. Reult The IOP elevated from 2.6 (+/− 1.0) mm Hg to 8.8 (+/− 3.7) mm Hg in 1 week and ha been maintained between 6 to 14 mm Hg during the follow-up. Hypotony maculopathy ha diappeared in nine eye. The uture wa buried in the conjunctiva pontaneouly in 1 week in all cae. No complication developed. Concluion uturing the cleral flap directly through the conjunctival flap i a imple and effective modality to treat the hypotony caued by exce filtration after trabeculectomy.
