Iatrogenic open globe eye injury following inu urgery

Purpoe To report a cae of iatrogenic open globe eye injury occurring during endocopic inu urgery. Deign Cae report and literature review. Method A 10-year-old boy preented with periorbital welling and ubconjunctival hemorrhage of the left eye following bilateral naal adenoidectomy. Funducopic examination howed evidence of a full-thickne open globe injury at the equator in the inferior naal midperiphery. Reult The injury mot likely wa econdary to inadvertent perforation of the lamina papiracea with entrance into the orbit and ubequent penetration of the globe. Concluion inu urgery ha been reported previouly in aociation with evere orbital complication. We are unaware of previou report of open globe injury following inu urgery.
