Uveal effuion following laer in itu keratomileui (LAIK) for hypermetropia

Purpoe To decribe the firt reported cae of uveal effuion yndrome following laer in itu keratomileui (LAIK). Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 50-year-old woman developed bilateral ubmacular choroidal fold with ubtle fluid elevation of the macula on the firt day following uneventful LAIK for hypermetropia. A 48-year-old man developed right, prominent, 360-degree, peripheral choroidal effuion and ubmacular choroidal and retinal fold everal month following LAIK for hypermetropia. Reult Cae 1 wa treated with ytemic diclofenac and cae 2 with ytemic predniolone. Both cae howed gradual improvement in viion over everal week, returning to bet-corrected viual acuity of 6/6. Concluion Uveal effuion yndrome i a previouly unreported complication that may occur following LAIK for hypermetropia.
