Metatatic meothelioma preenting with proptoi

Purpoe To decribe the clinical preentation and hitologic finding in a patient with metatatic meothelioma preenting to the ophthalmologit with nonaxial proptoi. Deign Cae report. Method A 55-year-old man preented with a hort hitory of progreive ocular dicomfort and vertical diplopia. Clinical examination identified nonaxial proptoi. ubequent computed tomography howed a large extraconal ma conitent with a malignant proce. Three month earlier the patient had been diagnoed with pleural meothelioma. Unfortunately, he died 3 month after hi ophthalmic preentation. Potmortem examination confirmed metatatic meothelioma in the orbital roof that wa hitologically identical to the primary pleural malignancy. Concluion Pleural meothelioma can metataize to the orbit, cauing proptoi.
