Purpoe To report a erie of cae of angioedema related to the ue of hyaluronidae in cataract urgery. Deign Obervational cae erie. Method Three eye of three patient who had periorbital angioedema after phacoemulification at the Mayo Clinic, Rocheter, Minneota, between April 2001 and May 2002 were retropectively kin teted for allergie uing the prick technique. Reult kin teting wa poitive in all three patient for allergy to hyaluronidae (150 U/cc) and hitamine control; and negative for prick control, 2% lidocaine, 1% cyclopentolate, 2.5% neoynephrine, 0.5% proparacaine, 0.3% ofloxacin, and thimeroal. Concluion The ue of hyaluronidae in ophthalmic anetheia injection may caue immediate type hyperenitivity reaction uch a angioedema
