Method Iri biopie of eye treated with latanoprot were analyzed (all had a photographically documented increae in iri pigmentation) plu control eye (untreated with protanoid) uing optical microcopy. patient or tudy population: There were 14 tudy eye treated with latanoprot and 8 untreated control eye. main outcome meaure: The morphologic characteritic of the irie. Reult The irie treated with latanoprot had an increaed number of melanocyte with nuclear incluion, granule of melanin in the vacular wall and the melanocyte and free granule in the troma compared with control eye (P = .001, P = .01, P = .004, P = .01, repectively, by the χ2 tet). Concluion Chronic therapy with latanoprot appear to induce more change in the iri than a imple increae in the melanin content of the melanocyte.
