Abstract :
Purpoe To examine the effect of accommodation on iri profile in pigmentary glaucoma and it relationhip to age. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method We meaured change in iri profile with accommodation in 92 eye of 92 patient with pigmentary glaucoma. Reult Mean age wa 42 year. Mean change in poterior iri excurion from nonaccommodated to accommodated tate wa 144.5 μm. (P < .001). Age wa plotted againt iri excurion with an etimated leat-quare regreion line. The etimated Pearon correlation coefficient wa −0.60, (P < .001). Patient younger than 42 year of age had a mean change in excurion of 209.2 μm compared with 79.8 μm for thoe patient older than 42 year. (P < .001) Concluion Thi tudy found that there i a ignificant increae in poterior iri bowing in the accommodated tate. Increaing age i aociated with decreaed poterior iri deviation. Thee finding add evidence to the theory of accommodation-induced revere pupillary block in pigmentary glaucoma.
