Baeline rik factor for the development of primary open-angle glaucoma in the Ocular Hypertenion Treatment tudy

Purpoe Higher baeline pattern tandard deviation (PD) and larger vertical cup-to-dik ratio (VC/D) were factor in the predictive model for the development of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) in the Ocular Hypertenion Treatment tudy. Becaue early change in PD and VC/D may be indicative of early POAG damage, we repeated the prediction model excluding PD and VC/D. Deign Reanalyi of baeline factor for the development of POAG. Method We compared the hazard ratio for baeline factor predictive of POAG in the multivariate Cox proportional hazard model that included PD and VC/D and in the model that excluded them. Reult Hazard ratio for baeline factor predictive of POAG in Ocular Hypertenion Treatment tudy were not ubtantially affected by the incluion or excluion of PD and VC/D in the proportional hazard model. Concluion Whether PD or VC/D wa included in the Cox proportional hazard model, the ame baeline factor were tatitically ignificant and their hazard ratio were eentially imilar.
