Abstract :
Thi report wa baed on a retropective erie of 10 eye of 6 patient with late-onet interface inflammation and increaed intraocular preure after LAIK. The average time of preentation wa 17 day after LAIK (range, 7 to 34). Elevated intraocular preure wa noted on average 28 day after preentation (range, 8 to 69). Eight of 10 eye were receiving topical teroid at the time of preentation. All patient were preumed to have claic diffue lamellar keratiti (DLK) and were treated initially with aggreive teroid, which exacerbated the lamellar inflammation in all 10 eye. Reolution of the interface inflammation did not occur until intraocular preure wa controlled. Elevated intraocular preure can contribute to interface inflammation and that aement of intraocular preure i eential in the evaluation of potoperative LAIK patient, epecially if they have been treated with topical corticoteroid.—Michael D.
