Abstract
Purpoe
To analyze the reult of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in bilateral acquired parafoveal telangiectai.
Deign
Interventional cae report.
Method
Retropective analyi of viual acuity meaured with ETDR chart and of fluorecein angiography finding for two women in whom the eye with leer viual acuity wa treated by PDT for bilateral acquired parafoveal telangiectai without ubretinal neovacularization.
Reult
Initial viual acuity of the treated eye wa 20/63 in both patient and did not change ignificantly for 3 to 6 month after one eion of PDT. Fluorecein angiography in both cae and optical coherence tomography in one cae alo appeared unchanged. No advere effect ha been oberved.
Concluion
Photodynamic therapy wa not beneficial for the outcome of thee patient with bilateral acquired telangiectai, becaue it improved neither their viual acuity nor their macular edema.
