Purpoe To report epithelial downgrowth following goniotomy. Deign Obervational cae report. Method urgical management of a child with congenital glaucoma and epithelial downgrowth. Reult One year after naal goniotomy and multiple Ahmed valve reviion an epithelial incluion cyt wa noted adjacent to the clear corneal goniotomy inciion. Ab externo drainage and limbal cryotherapy were required twice for recurrent growth of the cyt. ix month after the econd treatment the eye remain cyt-free. Concluion Epithelial downgrowth i a rare complication of urgery for glaucoma, but becaue of it potential to threaten ight it hould alway be conidered a a poible complication.
