Abstract :
Purpoe
To report a new method to perform intraoperative video fluorecein angiography (VFA) uing an optical fiber-free intravitreal urgery ytem (OFFI) and retinal blood flow analyi during urgery.
Deign
Obervational cae erie.
Method
Four eye of four patient with macular edema a a reult of branch retinal vein occluion underwent vitrectomy and intraoperative VFA with a bolu of 0.8 ml fluorecein dye. The egmental blood flow wa calculated uing dye dilution technique. Intraocular preure wa maintained at 15 mm Hg.
Reult
The VFA wa clearly recorded with table excitation light and very little eye movement under retrobulbar anetheia. The egmental blood flow of the affected veel (6.1 ± 1.2 pixel2/) wa ignificantly lower than that of the healthy veel (17.9 ± 7.9 pixel2/) (P < .05).
Concluion
The combination of VFA and OFFI can facilitate intraoperative VFA, and may be ueful for evaluating retinal blood flow during urgery
