Calotropi procera (uhaar) keratiti

Purpoe To report a cae of permanent endothelial cell injury after intracorneal penetration of milky latex from Calotropi procera (uhaar). Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 40-year-old patient developed painle corneal edema depite minimal epithelial injury after expoure to uhaar latex. Reult Confocal and pecular microcopy confirmed permanent endothelial cell lo with morphologic alteration after intracorneal penetration of uhaar latex. Corneal edema reolved completely after 2 week, although reduced endothelial cell count and abnormal morphology perited. Concluion Uhaar latex i capable of penetrating the corneal troma and inducing permanent lo of endothelial cell. Corneal edema reolve if ufficient endothelial cell viability i till preent after reolution of uhaar keratiti.
