Removal of the intruding Miragelʹ cleral buckle by par plana ultraonic fragmentation

Purpoe To introduce a urgical approach for removing intruded cleral buckle reulting from Miragelʹ implant. Deign Interventional cae report. Method After cutting and releaing cleral band externally, a par plana Fragmatome wa ued to break up and apirate piece of the Miragelʹ implant that had grown into the eye, filling the vitreou cavity. Reult The intruding Miragelʹ buckle wa haved to the plane of the retina without any complication. The retina wa completely attached. Concluion Ue of ultraonic fragmentation by a par plana approach wa effective in removing the intavitreally expanded buckling element without harming the retina.
