Purpoe To determine Toxoplama gondii genotype in car of retinochoroiditi in human. Deign Immunopathology analyi. Method DNA wa iolated from retinochoroidal pecimen taken from the border of the car from eye bank eye a well a enucleated eye from uveiti patient with retinochoroidal toxoplamic car. The AG2 region wa amplified by polymerae chain reaction and analyzed by retriction fragment length polymorphim. Reult Of the 92 eye tudied, 9 had toxoplamic car. All of them, a well a the 2 enucleated eye, dicloed the preence of type I paraite by the gel electrophorei analyi of the retriction fragment length polymorphim from AG2. Concluion Thee reult ugget that type I train eem to be reponible for the ocular infection in the population tudied.
