Laer in itu keratomileui in a patient with preumed central cloudy corneal dytrophy of Francoi

Purpoe To report a cae of laer in itu keratomileui (LAIK) urgery performed in a patient with likely central cloudy corneal dytrophy of Francoi (CCDF). Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 48-year-old woman with likely CCDF had myopic LAIK to etablih monoviion. Outcome meaure included viual acuity, manifet refraction, and lit-lamp examination. Reult At 5-year follow-up, the patient had uncorrected viual acuity of 20/100, J1, in the right eye (OD) and 20/20 in the left eye (O), conitent with monoviion correction. Manifet refraction wa −1.50 OD and −0.25 O potoperatively; after retreatment at 1 year for regreion, the left eye remained table over the ubequent 4-year period. lit-lamp examination revealed no progreion of corneal opacitie in either eye. Concluion LAIK may be afe and effective in patient with CCDF. Further obervation of a greater number of patient are required to confirm thee finding
