Abstract :
Purpoe
To report clinical and optical coherence tomography (OCT) feature in patient with idiopathic macular hole and extenive ubretinal fluid (extending at leat 1 dik diameter from the center of the hole).
Deign
Retropective, conecutive, noncomparative cae erie.
Method
The cae record of two patient with idiopathic macular hole with extenive ubretinal fluid were reviewed.
Reult
Both patient preented with reduced viual acuity (20/200 and 20/400). OCT demontrated attachment of the poterior hyaloid to the inner retina, a full-thickne macular hole, cytoid macular edema (CME), and extenive ubretinal fluid. After urgery, both patient achieved macular hole cloure and improvement in viual acuity (20/60 and 20/30). Potoperatively, OCT howed a normal foveal contour, complete hole cloure, and reolution of the CME and ubretinal fluid.
Concluion
In patient with macular hole and extenive ubretinal fluid, improved viual acuity and hole cloure can be achieved. Preoperative OCT in thee patient demontrate vitreoretinal interface abnormalitie, CME, and extenive ubretinal fluid. Thee change reolve potoperatively.
