Group 2A idiopathic juxtafoveolar retinal telangiectaia in monozygotic twin

Purpoe To report the clinical and fluorecein angiographic characteritic of monozygotic twin affected by group 2A idiopathic juxtafoveolar retinal telangiectaia. Deign Obervational cae report. Method Both eye of identical twin were examined in a clinical practice etting. Reult Two 68-year-old Caucaian, monozygotic, female twin were examined. In one twin, viual acuity wa 20/50 in the right eye (OD) and 20/40 in the left (O). Ophthalmocopy demontrated right-angle venule without edema in both eye (OU). Fluorecein angiography demontrated area of leakage temporal to the fovea OU with ome naal leakage O. In her identical twin iter, with type II diabete, viual acuity wa 20/60 OD and 20/25 O. Right-angle venule OU, refractile depoit O, and no macular edema OU were preent. Fluorecein angiography demontrated area of parafoveal leakage temporal and naal OD and temporal O. Concluion Thi i the econd et of female monozygotic twin with group 2A idiopathic juxtafoveolar retinal telangiectaia reported in the literature. Thi finding ugget a genetic component in the pathogenei of thi retinal vacular dieae.
