Iolated congenital hitiocytoi in the palpebral conjunctiva in a newborn

Purpoe To report a rare cae of congenital hitiocytoi in a newborn without kin involvement. Deign Interventional cae-report. Method A full-term baby preented with a ma over the palpebral conjunctiva of hi left upper lid. Ophthalmic examination wa otherwie normal, and the baby wa healthy. There were no kin leion. Reult The leion wa completely removed urgically. Pathologic examination demontrated a cellular infiltrate compoed of eoinophil and hitiocyte. Immunohitochemitry dicloed poitive tain for protein -100 and CD1 antigenic determinant. Pediatric oncology evaluation wa completely normal. Eighteen month after preentation, the patient remained healthy without recurrence of the leion. Concluion Rare cae of congenital hitiocytoi can preent a a olitary leion over the palpebral conjunctiva, without kin or ytemic involvement.
