Abstract
Purpoe
To report the cometic and therapeutic ue of corneal tattooing for a child with ectoral traumatic corneal carring and ymptomatic glare from ectoral traumatic iri lo.
Deign
Interventional cae report.
Method
A ix-year-old girl underwent corneal tattooing (platinum chloride reduced by hydrazine) in the relevant carred corneal ector.
Reult
ix month after the procedure, the child enjoyed a more normal corneal appearance and no longer uffered from glare. Potoperative epithelial healing, however, wa low and required vigilance.
Concluion
Corneal tattooing can allow both cometic and therapeutic benefit when indicated in a child. However, potoperative healing may require management when uing platinum chloride reduced by hydrazine.
