Abstract :
Purpoe To report a cae of central retinal vein occluion (CRVO) that had vitrectomy with radial optic neurotomy (RON), but the retinal blood flow (RBF) wa till reduced 1 year later. Deign Interventional cae report. Method An 80-year-old woman had undergone vitrectomy and RON for a CRVO. he had a complete ophthalmic examination, including the RBF analyi uing the dye dilution method before and after RON. Reult even month after RON, her viual acuity improved from 20/50 to 20/25, and her foveal thickne wa decreaed from 733 to 213 μm. Indocyanine green angiography demontrated chorioretinal anatomoe. At 1 year potoperatively, the RBF wa reduced from 23.2 to 18 0.1 pixel2/, and the foveal thickne wa increaed to 767 μm. Her viual acuity decreaed to 20/100. The chorioretinal anatomoe were till patent. Concluion Thee reult demontrate that a further reduction of RBF can occur after RON, and blood flow in the chorioretinal anatomoe may be inufficient to prevent the event.
