Iolated Optic Nerve Lymphoma Diagnoed by Optic Nerve Biopy

Purpoe To report a cae of iolated optic nerve lymphoma diagnoed by optic nerve biopy. Deign Cae report. Method A 66-year-old woman wa referred to the Neuro-Ophthalmology ervice becaue of a decreae in viual acuity and right optic dik edema. Reult A magnetic reonance image of the brain howed only enhancement of the optic nerve. An examination that included ANA, c-ANCA, p-ANCA, Lyme titer, FTA-AB, ACE level, chet x-ray, and lumbar puncture wa negative. Becaue of rapid progreion on clinical examination and erial imaging, an optic nerve biopy wa performed, which howed B-cell lymphoma. Concluion Optic nerve lymphoma can be confued with a variety of inflammatory and neoplatic infiltration of the optic nerve on clinical and radiographic examination. Optic nerve biopy can be valuable in diagnoing iolated optic nerve lymphoma if other diagnotic tet are unrevealing, but the procedure carrie coniderable rik of lo of viual acuity and hould be recommended judiciouly.
