Trabeculotome-guided Deep clerectomy. A Pilot tudy

Purpoe To decribe and evaluate a new technique that help identification and unroofing of chlemm’ canal during deep clerectomy. Deign A propective, interventional cae erie. Method Thi pilot tudy wa conducted on 15 eye with variou type of glaucoma. After diecting the uperficial cleral flap, the trabeculotome wa inerted inide the chlemm’ canal. During deep flap diection, a direct inciion wa made over the trabeculotomy to open and unroof chlemm’ canal. Five of the excied deep flap were ubmitted for hitologic examination. Reult In 13 of the 15 eye, the chlemm’ canal wa properly identified and unroofed. chlemm’ canal endothelium wa identified in all the examined pecimen. The mean intraocular preure wa reduced from 26.66 ± 4.54 mm Hg to 12.2 ± 3.5 mm Hg at the end of a mean follow-up of 9.4 ± 2.9 month. Concluion The inertion of the trabeculotome inide chlemm’ canal before diection of the deep flap helped chlemm’ canal unroofing.
