Abstract :
Purpoe
To decribe a yellow ring-haped reflection in the macula of healthy ubject oberved with a common indirect ophthalmocope.
Deign
Obervational cae erie.
Method
Fundu photograph of the macula were acquired with a lit lamp and 90-diopter len in 5 healthy ubject (age range, 23-50 year) at a perpendicular angle and at an oblique angle to the retina.
Reult
The perpendicular fundu photograph howed a yellow ring-haped reflection with a diameter of approximately 5 degree. The oblique photograph had a dark red pot in the center.
Concluion
To our knowledge, thi phenomenon ha hitherto ecaped attention in the literature. We conclude that the hape, ize, and location of the yellow reflection are conitent with a cone origin. Thi obervation may be ued for diagnotic purpoe.
