Photodynamic Therapy for Choroidal Neovacularization on Late-onet Fundu Flavimaculatu

Purpoe To report the feature of three conecutive cae of patient affected with late-onet fundu flavimaculatu (FFM) complicated with choroidal new veel (CNV) and treated with photodynamic therapy (PDT). Deign Retropective interventional cae erie. Method Three unrelated women (70- to 74-year-old) preented with unilateral decreae of central viion. Diagnoi of FFM and unilateral CNV wa made after fundu examination and fluorecein angiography (FA). PDT wa performed on the bai of FA feature. Reult One to three PDT were needed for the treatment of CNV. At the end of follow-up (15–24 month), no leakage wa preent and viual acuity wa improved in thee three cae. Concluion Occurrence of CNV i a rare event in FFM. In thee three eye, PDT uccefully topped the progreion of CNV and blocked leakage. We ugget conidering PDT a a treatment for CNV in patient affected with FFM.
