Combined Poitron Emiion Tomography/Computed Tomography Imaging of Orbital Lymphoma

Purpoe To report a cae of orbital lymphoma with ytemic diemination that wa identified and localized by combined poitron emiion tomography (PET)/computed tomography. Deign Cae report. Method A 75-year-old woman preented with a 6-month hitory of painle, progreive fullne of her right upper eyelid. A PET/computed tomography wa obtained to provide functional and anatomic aement of the orbit. An orbitotomy wa performed with ub-total exciion of the leion to obtain hitologic diagnoi. Reult The PET/computed tomography can revealed intenive uptake of tracer in a right orbital ma meauring 2.3 × 1.8 × 2.6 cm. Foci of abnormal tracer uptake were alo noted in the right neck, right hilar region, and central abdomen. Hitopathologic finding were conitent with follicular cell lymphoma. Concluion The combination of PET/computed tomography provide accurate and precie information in an expedited manner not offered by alternative imaging modalitie. PET/computed tomography imaging hould be conidered in the evaluation of orbital neoplam, epecially if lymphoma i upected.
