Abstract :
Purpoe
To report abnormalitie of retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickne uing optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patient with tran-ynaptic degeneration.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
Two patient with congenital/long tanding occipital lobe leion who had aymptomatic homonymou hemianopic field defect were examined uing OCT.
Reult
In cae 1, there wa lo of RNFL in the projection of the naal hemifovea temporally and the horizontal projection naally in the right eye and thinning in the uperior and inferior temporal arcade in the left eye correponding to viual field abnormalitie. In cae 2, abnormalitie in the RNFL pattern correponded to the viual defect even though the field defect wa incomplete.
Concluion
OCT meaurement of the RNFL provide ueful information in the diagnoi of congenital/long tanding occipital lobe leion.
