Optic Dik Edema Aociated With udden-Onet Anterior Uveiti

Purpoe To decribe the clinical characteritic and coure of optic dik edema (ODE) aociated with iolated udden-onet anterior uveiti. Deign Interventional, noncomparative retropective cae erie. Method Review of patient with udden-onet anterior uveiti and concomitant ODE een in an academic uveiti referral center or a general ophthalmology clinic between Augut 2001 and November 2002. Reult A total of eleven eye of even patient were included. Optic nerve function wa intact in all. Cranial magnetic reonance imaging wa normal in four of five and revealed an abnormality not felt to be reponible for the ODE in one. Reolution of anterior uveiti occurred over a mean of 36 day while ODE reolution lagged by a mean of 20 day. Concluion Reolution of ODE trailed that of the anterior uveiti by up to 6 week. No abnormalitie reponible for ODE were found on cranial imaging.
