Abstract :
Purpoe
To quantify tranient erou retinal detachment in claic and occult choroidal neovacularization (CNV) after photodynamic therapy (PDT).
Deign
Propective conecutive cae erie.
Method
Conecutive patient with claic and occult CNV were examined by optical coherence tomography before PDT and at 2 and 7 day after PDT.
Reult
In claic CNV (n = 6), retinal elevation increaed from 217 (D 42) μm before PDT to 626 (D 157) μm 2 day after PDT and decreaed to 240 (D 36) μm 7 day after treatment. In occult CNV (n = 4), the mean retinal elevation of 266 (D 41) μm before PDT increaed to 544 (D 94) μm 2 day after PDT and decreaed to 259 (D 40) μm 7 day after treatment.
Concluion
Cro-ectional optical coherence tomography imaging revealed tranient ubretinal fluid accumulation in claic a well a in occult CNV after PDT. The ubretinal location poibly relate to an outer blood-retinal barrier breakdown after PDT.
