Abstract :
Purpoe
To evaluate a noninvaive technique to detect the leakage point of central erou chorioretinopathy (CR), uing a polarimetry method.
Deign
Propective cohort tudy.
Method
etting: Intitutional practice. patient: We examined 30 eye of 30 patient with CR. main outcome meaure: Polarimetry image were recorded uing the GDx-N (Laer Diagnotic Technologie). We computed four image that differed in their polarization content: a depolarized light image, an average reflectance image, a parallel polarized light image, and a birefringence image. Each polarimetry image wa compared with abnormalitie een on fluorecein angiography.
Reult
In all eye, leakage area could be clearly viualized a a bright area in the depolarized light image. Michelon contrat for the leakage area were 0.58 ± 0.28 in the depolarized light image, 0.17 ± 0.11 in the average reflectance image, 0.09 ± 0.09 in the parallel polarized light image, and 0.11 ± 0.21 in the birefringence image from the ame raw data. Michelon contrat in depolarized light image were ignificantly higher than for the other three image (P < .0001, for all tet, paired t tet). The fluid accumulated in the retina wa well-viualized in the average and parallel polarized light image.
Concluion
Polarization-enitive imaging could readily localize the leakage point and area of fluid in CR. Thi may ait with the rapid, noninvaive aement of CR.
