Abstract :
Purpoe
To decribe a cae of Langerhan cell hitiocytoi (LCH) that involved the anterior uveal tract.
Deign
Interventional cae report.
Method
A retropective review wa conducted on a patient with iri nodule and anterior uveiti in the etting of LCH. Viual acuity and clinical finding that were noted on lit lamp biomicrocopy were extracted.
Reult
An 18-year-old male patient with unilateral anterior egment inflammation and iri nodule experienced viual improvement from 20/200 to 20/25 after treatment with a 5-day coure of topical corticoteroid. Regreion of the iri nodule and anterior egment inflammation wa alo noted. Bone marrow apirate confirmed recurrent, active LCH.
Concluion
The clinician hould include LCH in the differential diagnoi when faced with anterior egment inflammation in conjunction with iri nodule. Additionally, LCH can be treated uccefully with topical corticoteroid therapy
