Abstract :
Purpoe
We decribe a erie of patient with hemicrania continua, a rare indomethacin-reponive primary headache yndrome, who preented for evaluation with neuro-ophthalmologic ign and ymptom.
Deign
Obervational cae erie.
Method
Nine patient between the age of 29 and 58 year were een with variou neuro-ophthalmologic finding and a unilateral continuou headache. A detailed hitory wa taken from each patient, followed by a focued ophthalmologic and neurologic examination. The rik and benefit of treatment with indomethacin were dicued. Patient were intructed to call after everal day of treatment to report any change in their headache and neuro-ophthalmologic ymptom, in addition to any advere ide effect.
Reult
All patient reponded favorably to indomethacin, with rapid near-complete or complete reolution of headache and autonomic ymptom, and treatment wa initiated a early a poible.
Concluion
Becaue of it abolute repone to indomethacin, recognizing the neuro-ophthalmologic ymptom of hemicrania continua a a component of the headache yndrome i critical for prompt initiation of treatment.
