Purpoe
To decribe a cae of bilateral necrotizing retiniti induced by Angiotrongylu cantoneni.
Deign
Interventional cae report.
Method
A 52-year-old Aian woman developed eoinophilic meningiti after eating everal undercooked nail. One week later, udden onet of viion lo wa noted in both eye. Widepread yellow retinal exudate were accompanied by bullou retinal detachment in both eye.
Reult
Angiotrongylu cantoneni infection wa confirmed by poitive enzyme-linked immunoorbent aay of the erum and cerebropinal fluid, and a poitive Wetern blot tet of the ubretinal fluid. After treatment with mebendazole, levamiole, and corticoteroid, thee necrotizing patche regreed gradually. However, the final viual acuity wa no light perception.
Concluion
Angiotrongylu cantoneni infection hould be conidered a one of the caue of necrotizing retiniti.
