Abstract :
Purpoe To compare inter-eye pattern of viual field (VF) lo on tandard automated perimetry (AP) in patient with glaucomatou optic neuropathy. Deign Obervational cro-ectional tudy. Method Four-hundred-and-ninety eye of 245 patient with glaucomatou optic neuropathy in at leat one eye defined by maked tereophoto review were included. Patient had two reliable AP viual field within fifteen month for each eye. Pattern of viual field lo were claified independently by two grader maked to all other patient information. Pattern were decribed a altitudinal, arcuate, partial arcuate, paracentral, naal tep, temporal wedge, or normal baed on the claification ytem of Keltner and aociate. uperior and inferior hemifield were graded eparately. Reult Inter-grader agreement in viual field pattern before adjudication wa 97% and 94% for the wore eye (uperior and inferior hemifield) and 97% and 95% for the better eye (uperior and inferior hemifield). The percentage of correpondence by hemifield location wa: 53% (uperior-uperior), 62% (inferior-inferior), 45% (uperior-inferior), and 55% (inferior-uperior). The highet correpondence of individual glaucomatou VF pattern between eye wa for arcuate (uperior-uperior) and inferior partial arcuate (inferior-inferior) defect (24% and 26%, repectively). maller hemifield pattern howed lower correpondence between the eye (naal tep, paracentral, temporal wedge, 0% to 13% correpondence). Concluion Pattern of viual field lo between eye often correponded within the ame VF hemifield (uperior-uperior, inferior-inferior) a well a between oppoite hemifield (inferior-uperior), although oppoite hemifield correpondence wa le common. More advanced viual field defect (for example, partial arcuate) howed higher correpondence rate between the eye than le advanced defect.
