utained Effect of Travoprot on Diurnal and Nocturnal Intraocular Preure

Purpoe To ae the diurnal and nocturnal peritency of intraocular preure (IOP) reduction after omiion of up to two doe of once-daily topical travoprot in patient with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertenion. Deign Propective, open-label tudy. Method Twenty ubject underwent three eion of 24-hour IOP monitoring. The firt eion occurred before initiating treatment of newly diagnoed patient or after a four-week wahout in patient already receiving medical therapy. The econd eion occurred after four week or more of travoprot treatment. The third eion wa performed 41 to 63 hour after the lat travoprot doe. Reult IOP lowering perited after omiion of one to two doe. Between 41 to 63 hour after the lat doe, diurnal IOP reduction wa attenuated, but nocturnal IOP reduction utained. Concluion IOP lowering effect after omiion of one to two doe of travoprot i attenuated in the diurnal period but utained in the nocturnal period, the time correponding to the highet baeline habitual IOP.
