Abstract :
Purpoe
To evaluate the agreement of iCare rebound tonometer in meauring intraocular preure (IOP) with Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT), Tonopen XL, and noncontact tonometer, and the influence of the central corneal thickne (CCT) on IOP meaurement made with thee four tonometer in 45 (12 control and 33 glaucomatou or ocular hypertenive) eye.
Deign
Clinically relevant experimental tudy.
Method
Tonometer intermethod agreement wa aeed by the Bland-Altman method. The relation of CCT with abolute IOP value and intertonometer difference were analyzed by linear regreion.
Reult
The mean difference (95% limit of agreement) in IOP reading between iCare and GAT, Tonopen XL, and noncontact tonometer were 1.40 ± 4.29, 0.00 ± 4.78, and 2.22 ± 4.19 mm Hg, repectively. All tonometrie had a marked aociation with CCT. A the CCT got thicker, iCare coniderably overetimated GAT and Tonopen XL.
Concluion
Although influenced by CCT, iCare agree well with applanation tonometer.
