Abstract
Purpoe
To evaluate intraocular preure (IOP) change through hemodialyi and examine other factor to affect IOP change in patient treated with hemodialyi.
Deign
Propective, obervational cae erie.
Method
IOP, blood preure, and plama colloid omotic preure (COP) were meaured in 188 eye of 95 patient receiving hemodialyi in Nantan General Hopital.
Reult
IOP ignificantly decreaed after hemodialyi (P = 0.006). Body weight, ytolic and diatolic blood preure alo decreaed ignificantly (P < 0.001). COP ignificantly increaed (P < 0.001). Change in IOP correlated negatively with COP change (OD; r = −0.196, O; r = −0.339) and poitively with change in body weight (OD; r = −0.278, O; r = −0.357). IOP tended to increae after hemodialyi in patient receiving hemodialyi for more than 12 year.
Concluion
IOP decreae during hemodialyi may be due to COP increae. Patient receiving hemodialyi for a long time are more likely to how IOP increae after hemodialyi.
