The Role of erum Endothelin-1 Level in the Etiopathogenei of Central erou Chorioretinopathy

Purpoe To ae the role of erum endothelin-1 (ET-1) in the pathogenei of central erou chorioretinopathy (CC). Deign Propective, cae control tudy. Method The erum ET-1 level of 21 otherwie healthy patient who received a diagnoi of acute CC (group 1) were meaured with the enzyme-linked immunoorbent aay (ELIA) method at the initial viit, at the one month follow-up examination, and after complete angiographic reolution of the leakage. Nine patient with a previou diagnoi of CC (group 2), 10 patient from the outpatient clinic (group 3), and 14 hopital employee (group 4) were alo included. Reult The erum ET-1 level in group 1 revealed neither correlation with the dieae activity nor ignificant difference from the level in group 2 and 4. However, erum ET-1 level in group 3 were tatitically higher than the level in group 1 and 4. Concluion Thee finding ugget no role of erum ET-1 in pathogenei of CC in otherwie healthy ubject.
