Intravitreal Triamcinolone Acetonide in Eye With Recurrent Potvitrectomy Diabetic Vitreou Hemorrhage

Purpoe To evaluate the efficacy of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (IVT) for the management of recurrent pot-vitrectomy diabetic vitreou hemorrhage (VH). Deign Interventional cae erie. Method Five eye of five patient with recurrent potvitrectomy diabetic VH done more than three time where the common tandard treatment ha failed were adminitered 4 mg (0.1 ml) of triamcinolone acetonide ophthalmic upenion. The efficacy of IVT injection wa aeed on day one; week one, two, and four; and month two and three. Reult The viual acuity (VA) at the time of IVT injection ranged from hand motion (HM) to counting finger (CF). Of the five eye, four eye experienced clearing of VH on even, four, one, and one week after IVT injection with viible triamcinolone precipitate with blood clot in the inferior apect of fundu. Of thee four eye, two eye had viual improvement with 20/50 and 20/200, wherea two eye developed recurrent VH. VH wa not cleared in one eye, which required urgical procedure. Concluion IVT injection may be beneficial for clearing recurrent pot-vitrectomy VH, poibly by mechanical edimentation of triamcinolone with retained blood clot.
