Abstract :
Purpoe
To invetigate the agreement in the meaurement of intraocular preure (IOP) obtained by dynamic contour tonometry PACAL (DCT-PACAL) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) in glaucoma eye and healthy eye with different central corneal thickne (CCT).
Deign
Propective cro-ectional tudy.
Method
In a randomized order, three conecutive IOP meaurement were performed on 197 eye of 107 ubject by one examiner uing both DCT-PACAL and GAT on all eye. Furthermore, ultraonic pachymetry wa performed. The pearman correlation coefficient (r) wa determined to compare IOP reading between DCT-PACAL and GAT. Regreion-baed Bland and Altman analyi wa ued to evaluate agreement between the intrument.
Reult
Mean IOP value obtained by both intrument were ignificantly correlated in healthy and glaucoma eye (all healthy eye [n = 66]: r = 0.8, P < .001, all glaucoma eye [n = 131]: r = 0.96, P < .001). Neither GAT nor DCT-PACAL howed a ignificant correlation with CCT (GAT: all eye: r = 0.009, P = .9, DCT-PACAL: all eye: r = −0.05, P = .5). Bland and Altman analyi revealed the exitence of proportional bia. Thu, 95% limit of agreement between the intrument varied with the actual IOP meaurement.
Concluion
DCT-PACAL and GAT revealed a trong correlation in IOP meaurement between glaucoma and healthy eye. However, the analyi of agreement indicated ome dicrepancie between the intrument. Meaurement with both GAT and DCT-PACAL were not correlated with central corneal thickne.
