  • Abstract
Purpoe Thi tudy report the outcome of trabimu urgery to eliminate bifocal in patient with accommodative eotropia with a high accommodative convergence to accommodation (AC:A) ratio. Deign Retropective interventional cae erie. Method ixteen patient who wore bifocal for treatment of accommodative eotropia with a high AC:A ratio underwent trabimu urgery following prim adaptation teting (PAT) for the near angle of eotropia without bifocal. Outcome were conidered ucceful if patient had microtropia and maintained fuion without bifocal. Reult All patient had ucceful outcome after one or two urgerie. Three of 13 (23%) patient with poitive PAT required two urgerie. Two of three (67%) patient with negative PAT required two urgerie. Binocularity remained the ame in 13 patient and improved in three patient. Glae were eliminated entirely in eight of 16 (50%) patient. Concluion trabimu urgery may eliminate the need for bifocal glae in patient with accommodative eotropia with a high AC:A ratio, with many patient able to dicontinue glae entirely. Preoperative PAT may help predict the rik of requiring more than one urgery.
