Tractional Internal Limiting Membrane Detachment in Highly Myopic Eye

Purpoe To report the clinical feature of tractional internal limiting membrane (ILM) detachment in highly myopic eye with poterior taphyloma. Deign Obervational cae report. Method We reviewed the optical coherence tomography image of 249 eye in the high myopia clinic. ILM detachment wa oberved in ix eye (2.4%). We invetigated the clinical feature of thi finding. Reult Myopic foveochii (MF) wa preent in four of the ix eye (67%) (ix patient, two men and four women; mean age, 57.3 year). The mean axial length wa 29.3 mm and the mean refractive error wa −15.0 diopter. The bet-corrected viual acuity level ranged from 20/400 to 20/13. Concluion Rigidity of the ILM eem to caue tangential traction and reult in a major caue of a dieae pecific to high myopia; that i, MF.
