Abstract :
Purpoe
Optic nerve head (ONH) tructural imaging with tate-of-the-art, high-peed, ultra–high-reolution optical coherence tomography (hUHR-OCT).
Deign
Obervational cohort tudy.
Method
ONH centered 3-dimenional (94,371,840 voxel meaurement in a 6- × 6- × 1.4-mm tiue volume) hUHR-OCT data were obtained in one eye from each of ix male and nine female normal healthy volunteer (40 ± 9 year of age). The preence of tructure projecting anteriorly from the dik into the vitreou wa noted.
Reult
tructure were noted in 14 of 15 (93%) examined eye, emanating from the rim of the ONH at the naal inferior ector, preenting a thin tiue meandering into the vitreou.
Concluion
Previou technologie provided limited viualization of ONH tructure. The ability to can the entire dik uing 3-dimenional OCT (3D-OCT) in a high-denity rater pattern reveal a high frequency of peritence of Cloquet’ canal in the normal healthy eye.
