Comparion of Retinal Veel Meaurement in Digital v Film Image

Purpoe To compare central retinal artery equivalent (CRAE) and central retinal vein equivalent (CRVE) from veel meaured from image captured with a digital camera and digitized image taken with a film camera. Deign Comparion of technique. Method etting: Clinic. Patient: A total of 75 eye of 48 adult. Obervation procedure: Grading of retinal veel diameter from image produced by uing two photographic technique: directly from a 45° digital camera and digitized by canning from a 30° film-baed camera. Main outcome meaure: Difference in CRAE and CRVE from two type of image. Reult CRAE and CRVE were highly comparable between the two technique with correlation coefficient of 0.88 and 0.87, repectively. Concluion Etimate of CRAE and CRVE from meaurement taken from digitally captured and digitized film-baed image were highly comparable. It i likely that inference about factor aociated with retinal veel diameter will be unbiaed by the method of imaging.
