Intraocular Methotrexate in Ocular Dieae Other Than Primary Central Nervou ytem Lymphoma

Purpoe To invetigate whether intravitreal methotrexate could be afely adminitered and improve viion in patient with ocular dieae other than primary central nervou ytem lymphoma (PCNL). Deign A retropective, mall-cae erie. Method Patient with variou clinical condition were treated with intravitreal methotrexate (cumulative doe ≤400 μg). Viual acuity and clinical examination were recorded to ae the afety and efficacy of the injection. Reult Of 16 tudy eye, final viual acuity wa improved in even, remained table in five, and decreaed in four. There wa no oberved toxicity attributable to methotrexate in any cae. Concluion Preervation of viual acuity in 12 of 16 tudy eye ugget that a 400-μg intravitreal injection i afe in ocular dieae other than PCNL. The lo of acuity in four eye with advanced preexiting pathology may be jut a likely attributable to the natural hitory of the dieae a to intraocular methotrexate.
